Acceptance Policy
First Baptist School exists to meet the needs of the First Baptist Church membership and is open primarily to members of the First Baptist Church. However, children whose parents are in good standing with another church of like faith and practice may be enrolled. By enrolling, parents are stating that they are in total cooperation with the purpose, philosophy, and doctrine of First Baptist Church and the standards outlined in this handbook.

The selection of students for enrollment at First Baptist Schools is determined by a combination of academic performance, entrance assessments, administrative interviews, and available openings at each grade level. As a private Christian institution, First Baptist Schools reserves the right to establish and uphold its own standards of student conduct, dress, personal appearance, and academic performance.

FBS retains the right to deny admission or to discontinue enrollment of any student whose behavior, attitude, or academic progress is not in harmony with the standards and expectations outlined in this handbook or as defined by the school administration.

Enrollment at First Baptist Schools is considered a privilege, not a right, and carries with it a responsibility to uphold the values and expectations of a Christ-centered education. This privilege should be regarded with sincerity and respect.
At FBS, we believe that a student’s attitude is a critical component of personal development and spiritual growth. Therefore, any student who consistently demonstrates an un-Christlike spirit—particularly in regard to the Bible, prayer, parental authority, teachers, or school leadership—may be subject to dismissal. Such attitudes are incompatible with First Baptist Schools' mission and spiritual atmosphere.

- Parents will not be allowed to enroll a child in FBS if they still owe money to a previous school or if they still owe FBS for past schooling.

- Students who are pregnant, have children, or have been married may not attend FBS.

- New students in grades nine through twelve will be considered on probation for one semester.

- Students must attend FBS for three entire quarters to be eligible for academic awards during that year.

- Students must attend FBS for the entire tenth through twelfth-grade years to be eligible for valedictorian or salutatorian.

- Application for re-enrollment will be approved at the sole discretion of the administration.
Non-Discriminatory Policy
First Baptist Schools maintains a racially non-discriminatory policy and admits students of any race, color, national, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, or other school- administered programs.

Parental/Student Agreement
All parents and each 7th-12th grade student must sign The Student Handbook Agreement Form, pledging their support of the school’s program, before the child is admitted to the school. Any student who does not have this form on file in the school office, agreeing with the direction of the school, will not be admitted or will be asked to withdraw.
