Our history
First Baptist Schools opened in 1987 and has grown from a one-room Learning Center to what it is today, providing our children with a distinctive Christian education through the ministry of First Baptist Church of Long Beach. Although currently unaccredited, almost 90% of all First Baptist Schools graduates have gone on to college and have been accepted into both Christian and secular colleges.
Our Purpose
First Baptist Schools is an integral part of the ministry of the First Baptist Church of Long Beach. Our two-fold purpose is:
1. To protect our youth
2. To build balanced Christians
True education must recognize God as the Supreme Source of all knowledge and wisdom. We are dedicated to the concept that truth is to be found in the Word of God and that the Word of God is the Truth. Therefore, we interpret all subjects with the study of Biblical principles and ethics. Our goal is to mold an individual to be balanced spiritually, academically, and socially.
Application Process
1. Complete and return an Enrollment Application for each child enrolling.
2. Review the First Baptist Schools Handbook and conduct interview.
3. Pay curriculum/book fees.
4. Turn in copy of child's Immunization Records with proper immunizations.
5. Request transcript from previous school at registration.
